Mike Ternasky founded the original Plan B skate team in 1991 along with a handful of top pro skaters. The intention was to create an alternative to the big corporations while also dominating the industry.
Ternasky’s idea for a small, rider-driven company challenged the status quo at the time. It would later revolutionise the skateboard industry, as a result becoming the new benchmark. The brand went from strength to strength and showcased some of the most progressive skating the world had seen.
Ternasky was tragically killed in a car accident in 1994.
Danny Way and Colin McKay relaunched Plan B in 2005 alongside top skaters like Paul Rodriguez, PJ Ladd and Pat Duffy. Ryan Sheckler and Tory Pudwill would also join later. See more from the team on their Instagram page.
Progression is the main aim of the company. To this day that principle lives on strong in the brand and can be found in every aspect of what they make and do.
